RBMS & LHS Flutes...
I wanted to get back into the blog posting with a great article about High B♭. There are so many options for this note and you all should experiment on the usage of it when you have the chance. If you do not have a high B♭ in anything you are currently working on, play the examples in this article. (Do not be intimidated by them, just play slow so you can get an idea of the alternative ones).
This article is from a fabulous periodical called "Flute Talk". You can get a subscription by going on to www.theinstrumentalist.com (click subscribe).
Make sure if you subscribe to do it under student and list me as your teacher.
Like Flute Talk on Facebook as well: @flutetalk
For those of you considering a future in music at the college level it would be a great plan to invest in some of these kinds of resources.
The first step would be liking the Facebook and checking the website often. Then subscribing before you graduate.
New high note fingerings! See you all soon!

New Music!

Hello Everyone!
Make sure you all are able to log into MyMusicStaff from the website login with your email and password. I have uploaded a lot of new music for you all to begin looking at for the future.
If we have not already been talking about region practice etudes, then we will soon. Those etudes will be found in the "Library/Download" section of MyMusicStaff.
LHS - auditions are not far away and we need to make sure you all keep those scales polished.
RMBS 8th graders - LHS auditions are fast approaching and the requirements are 12 major and 12 minor scales. (7th graders should keep this in mind to be ahead of the game).
Lastly, I have adding lots of new solos and several books, and some duets and such. Explore the music area and see what's new and lets get started to advance your playing for the next audition.
Have a great week and Spring Break!
